Farah Firman, a graphic designer, started Secubit Bakery as a hobby – posting her home baked goods on Instagram and Facebook inspiring to one day start a bakery. She started selling her gingerbread masjid kit this past Ramadan with lots of help and support from her family and friends. The gingerbread masjids were a hit and became wildly popular!
The kit retails for $15 + shipping and includes:
* 4 gingerbread walls
* 5 mini gingerbread men
* 3 crescents
* 5 pouches of candies
* one icing bag.
Ingredients
Gingerbread: Unbleached flour, baking soda, eggs, molasses, spices and butter
Icing: Powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water
Moving forward, Farah continues to sell and improve on the gingerbread masjid kits and hopes to add additional products! For Eid al-Adha, Secubit Bakery has a sheep gingerbread cookie that can be added on to any order….super cute!
