Charcuterie is fancy for adult Lunchables.
It is also something I will be making a lot more of because:
1. It’s the quickest, easiest, and most prettiest meal.
2. Yes, it IS a meal. A full, healthy meal.
4. You can add whatever your heart desires.
3. My family devoured it!
We were supposed to eat leftover Alu bhujia tonight, which neither me or the kids were excited about. I’m sure my husband wasn’t either, because it lacked protein 🙂
It was 6:35 in the evening, my oldest yelled from upstairs that she was starving, so I stood in front of the fridge looking at all the hodge podge of things we had wondering what I could cook with all those different ingredients. But then I got even more lazier and realized I didn’t actually want to cook a meal, but I did want to use up some ingredients in the fridge before they go bad. And this adult lunchable was the end result of that thought.
Sometimes laziness pays off and you end up with something pretty and yummy! And you don’t have to drive yourself crazy cooking a warm meal every night – sometimes it’s ok to feed your family a bunch of different things straight from the fridge ‘til you satisfy your tummy! This would also make a pretty awesome iftar
