Baked French Toast

Serves: 8 Servings
- Hawaiian Rolls (12 roll pack)
- 3 cups whole milk (OR 2 cups whole milk and 1 cup heavy cream)
- 6 eggs
- ½ cup sugar
- ⅓ brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ****************************
- Topping:
- 1 cup flour
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 stick cold butter
- ****************************
- Optional Toppings:
- Maple Syrup
- Pecans or Walnuts
- Fresh Berries
- Pull apart bread and break each roll in half.
- Lightly butter the pan and put the rolls in.
- Mix eggs, milk, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and pour over the bread.
- At this point you can either cover and store in fridge overnight, or bake right away.
- When you are ready to bake, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Add all the ingredients for toppings in a bowl and use a pastry cutter to mix it until they've turned into little pebbles.
- Sprinkle the toppings over the bread and bake for 50 minutes.
- Top it off with syrup, nuts, and fresh strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries and enjoy this delicious dessert-breakfast! :)
